This is the best meal we have had the pleasure of eating since moving to the area! The name Mucky Duck doesnt do the quality of food justice...should be called the Graceful Swan... Tad is a great, friendly, and funny server. He kept drinks full, and bread basket too. He split the meal for us for an additional charge. We ordered the French Onion and Smoked Turkey Chowder soup which were very tasty. The main course was prime rib, melted in mouth, and some sort of horseradish cream sauce and au jus... Yum!!! Side of asparagus, salad, and garlic potatoes...this meal filled a void in my life I've been having a while with my tastebuds. THANK YOU TAD!!!

My friend and I had just finished hiking along a trail out here and decided to stop at this little place for dinner. My honest thoughts: maybe we should've driven elsewhere, but we were feeling adventurous! It's meant to be a fancy dining experience, dim lighting and artistic plating included. Walking in my friend and I realized how underdressed we were. We got some stares from some of the bougie people eating there, but oh well. The food was good! I ordered some steak that they had on the menu at that time and it was good! For the price that I paid, it better have been lol. It's a good date spot, only if your pockets are deep enough and you don't mind the name. I probably wouldn't go out of the way to come here, but it was an experience nonetheless!

We were in this little town for a wedding this summer and needed a place to have lunch. I loved that they have Christmas decorations up in the summer. It's a very cozy place. We weren't visiting long, but this seems like the nicest, quiet restaurant on the block. They were able to get us in and out so we could get to the ceremony across the street at the gazebo.

So I wanted to try this restaurant for a long time. Finally did and was pleased. My daughter and I both had the Flounder Oscar. My wife had the Bacon wrapped Filet mignon. And my other daughter had Lemon Caper Flounder. Everything was delicious. If you are in a hurry, this isn't a fast food restaurant. It is fine dining and I have eaten at another fine dining restaurant that took twice as long to get your meal. The atmosphere was casual and warm. The service was very accommodating. If you are in Green Mountain Falls and want to enjoy a very nice evening, I recommend this establishment. Thanks Tad and Anna!!!

This is my go-to place for lunch in town. The French Dip and the Grilled Cheddar & Peppered Bacon sandwiches are a must-try, both of which are on excellent, hearty breads. My wife really likes the Bordeaux sandwich. There are a few seasonal items on the menu, so be prepared to try new things if you only stop by occasionally. Lunch atmosphere is more relaxed than dinner, which is more upscale and formal. Prices are somewhat high, but not out of line for the area. Also the ingredients always seem very fresh. Definitely worth the 2 minute detour on your way up/down Highway 24.

Terribly slow service even though the restaurant was almost empty. The waiter had nice manners, but couldn't think outside the box. Ordered prime rib medium rare and it was delivered medium well. My love ordered ham and it was just a big chunk of ham. No glaze or any seasoning on it at all. Way overpriced for quality at dinner time. My friends told me the French dip is quite good, but I doubt I'll get a chance to try it as I'm not sure this place will ever be blessed with my presence in the future. The brie cheese appetizer was good and maybe worth another visit here for a french dip and the brie app. For right now there is a $5 savings for checking in with Yelp. Tricky to get cell phone service there although they have free wifi.

Unfriendly host seemed upset we had five on our party. After waiting too long for them to clean one of several open tables we left!

The menu was a traveling 3' x 4' dry erase white board on an easel presented in front of our table. My wife's pasta dish consisted of about 1/2 cup of noodles and 3 pounds of sun-dried tomatoes. My steak was decent. I don't think we will eat here again.

A fine place for casual fine dining. The wait staff if friendly and helpful, and the menu selections were hard to choose from, they were that delicious. An interesting restaurant tucked in a valley.

This place has been around for 12 years, but I still think of it as the "new" restaurant. I've been here probably a dozen times. The service is always very nice--no complaints there. My main bewilderment is at the prices. I live in NYC. I get cheaper brunches in Manhattan at quadruple the quality. One element of this, I imagine, is that their menu is crazily wide-ranging (and many overly ambitious for this type of restaurant). If you have to have a million things on hand, you're going to end up tossing a lot of it, which costs money. If they had 5-10 options, they could bring the price down to the levels of places nearby and I doubt it would make a dent in their business because there are in fact so few places nearby. On another note, what's the deal with the Christmas decor in the middle of summer? I don't get it. Because of the name, I initially shied away from this restaurant (a bird covered in sludge isn't super appetizing), but it has a place in town, I think. But it could improve dramatically.

What a wonderful dining experience. While on vacation last week, we visited the Mucky Duck -- twice! A widely varied menu was presented by the server, almost too much to choose from. The tomato-bisque soup was fantastic as was the crabmeat-stuffed avocado. Main courses included the roasted duck breast with maple-ginger sauce and pasta primivera which was a mountain of food. Order this one with chicken for extra flavor. As mentioned (above) we returned two days later and ordered pastrami sandwiches which were truly outstanding -- too much to eat. Had to have "to-go" boxes for those which we ate later on our return trip to Dallas. Whether you live in the area, or just visiting, you MUST try the Mucky Duck.

We didn't have a lot of time and they took great care of us. Great food at a great price. Excellent service.

We really enjoy the ambiance here, and the service was pretty good. The pasta was excellent, and the wine was very nice. The mussels were fresh, but I would say that the wine in the sauce was a bit strong. It needed to be cooked out a bit more. The salad was good, but the tomatoes were mealy. The waiter initially poured the wrong wine for me, and when he realized his mistake, he immediately switched them out. No problem there. He had also said the wine would be comped, but he ended up charging us. We didn't say anything since the wine was fine and I drank it. We had a coupon, so we got $15 off, but it was still pricey. I like this place, but don't come often because of the price.

Great Duck. Cute small restaurant. Waiter was friendly and helpful. We like taking out of town friends here, enjoying the drive there as well. Definitely going back.

Mucky Duck is our go-to breakfast place. The atmosphere is subtle and charming, old bottles stacked decoratively, etc. The staff has always been nice to us and helpful. I usually order the Veggie Benedict or the Creme Brulee French Toast, which is the most awesomest tasting thing you will ever taste. Be warned, it is super rich, but sooo good. They have lots of other options on their brunch menu, but I tend to stick to the regulars. Its somewhat pricey ($9-$20), but I feel the quality is worth it. If you want cheap diner food, there is a cheap diner right around the corner, but tried it once (Mucky Duck was closed during a weekday) and didn't care for it. Another bonus is when you get a "not-sweet" breakfast, you get a really tasty little cream puff on the side as a finisher.

Great food. Can be on the pricey side but if you know what to order it's not bad at all. Great Reuben sandwich and lettuce wedge. Drinks are great. Had a couple perfect dirty martinis. Our server was great last visit.

Too overpriced and not a lot servers which translates into slow service. The food was too overpriced for average quality. Atmosphere is nice but things move pretty slow. I won't come back here again.

Good food in a comfortable small town Country restaurant style atmosphere. Moderately priced. Great place to stop in the HWY 24 Ute Pass Area

Food was delicious, though definitely priced on the high side. Our server was wonderfully sweet. We had just finished a walk up to the falls so we had our dog with us. Not only did she bring him a bowl of water but also some scraps of ham (which isn't super great on a canine digestive tract, but he loved it). We'll be back for sure.

We love the Mucky Duck. We are locals and eat here frequently. Our favorites are the Baked Penne Pasta and Lemon Caper Flounder. The chocolate cake is to die for - best anywhere! Service is always personable and swift and the atmosphere pleasant. Worth a drive from the Springs!

The creme brulee french toast is the only thing worth ordering off their brunch menu. I was really disappointed in my 12 dollar egg breakfast where the eggs were one solid hard mass and the potatoes o'brien were soggy and bland. I don't know why it's so hard to find a decent breakfast joint in the area. Also, I was turned off by all the dust balls hanging off the blinds where I sat. I'll pass on this place.

We went here for Sunday brunch. Not impressed. First they were out of escargot. They had run out on Friday night knowing that it was a popular choice for brunch. We had the Crab Oscar Benedict. Um, gross. There was a shell in my crab, and when we asked what kind of crab it was we were informed that the chef would not tell us and that asking would just piss him off. My husband ordered the Crème Brule French Toast, it was not bruled, it was burnt. Our friend ordered the Belgin waffles; they were a step above Ego. The only redeeming item on the menu was the soup. The French onion and the Tomato bisque where good, however they were the first thing we ordered, and we were hungry. This place is pretentious and over priced!!! Save your money and go to the pizza place next door, or the burger place around the corner. Both of these places had lines for tables.

Good food, good service, and right around the corner from the pantry. It's cute!
